Description

Property 10761 – Lucca - Tuscany

6 Bedrooms – Pool

Location and Surrounding Area. The idyllic Property 10761 is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty just outside Lucca and offers far-reaching views across the city and surrounding countryside. Lucca has often been voted one of the world's most desirable cities to live in or visit and is only a ten-minute drive from Property 10761. Lucca is perhaps most famous for its thick, 16th century ramparts which encircle the city and were restored in the 19th century to create a wide, tree-lined walkway. You can walk or cycle on top of the whole length of the walls and discover the wonders of the town within. There are little cobbled streets, ancient piazzas, gorgeous churches, glorious renaissance buildings, markets and countless local restaurants, bars and trattorias. Lucca was the birthplace of the Italian opera maestro, Giacomo Puccini and the town often hosts international opera as well as classical music events and rock concerts.

Florence is the capital city of Tuscany and an art-lover's paradise. It was the centre of the Italian Renaissance movement and the museums, galleries, palaces and churches house some of the world's greatest artistic treasures. The cathedral, baptistry, Uffizi, Bargello, Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens and the Accademia have to been seen and once you tire of art and history, take a wander through the pretty streets and across the Ponte Vecchio bridge which spans the River Arno. Florence is also home to designer shopping and fine wine and dining experiences. Thick, juicy Florentine steaks are a local speciality and best accompanied by a delicious Chianti wine.

Property 10761 is ideally located to explore some of the most scenic parts of Tuscany. Lucca is only a ten minute drive away, Pisa 15 minutes and Florence 45 minutes. The stunning Cinque Terre area is about 40 minutes from the villa and Siena and San Gimignano just over an hour away. The international airports of Pisa and Florence are about 30 km and 80 km away respectively.

The Property. Property 10761 sleeps up to 12 guests in luxurious accommodation. There are six, enormous double bedrooms plus the possibility of hosting an extra two guests on a sofa bed in the studio to make a total of 14. The rooms are all decorated with impeccable taste with both modern and antique pieces complementing the terracotta floors and exposed wooden beams. On the first floor, you'll find one bedroom with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower, one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath, one bedroom with two single beds and bathroom en-suite with bath, one bedroom with two single beds sharing bathroom with shower with another double bedroom. The master bedroom is on the second floor and has its own bathroom with a jacuzzi and spectacular views across the woodlands. The studio with the double sofa bed and fireplace is also on the second floor.

The ground floor offers a magnificent sitting room with an open fireplace and leads directly out onto the loggia with another sitting area and outdoor dining space.  This sitting room has exceptionally high ceilings and the staircase and first floor are visible from below. There is also a second sitting room with marble fireplace on the first floor. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped with everything you might need for rustling up delicious Tuscan meals. There is also a useful extra bathroom on the ground floor and a laundry room.

The grounds are a joy to behold; the hillside is terraced and each level offers panoramic views and enchanting pathways within the mature, landscaped gardens. The swimming pool features a fully furnished poolside area plus a pool room, which serves as a changing room with a shower, bathroom, fridge and two single beds. Steps lead up to a gorgeous, glass conservatory, which serves either as a relaxing, panoramic refuge or a place to find artistic inspiration!
